Dr. Barnes is a graduate of Sherman College of Chiropractic, where he became interested and furthered his focus on learning the Gonstead Chiropractic Method. As a Gonstead chiropractor with over 25 years of experience, his assessment utilizes several methods of examination to analyze multiple factors to uncover the characteristics of spinal disc lesions. The method of this type of analysis and adjustment is to be as precise, specific, and accurate as possible while focusing on the problem areas of the spine. Dr. Barnes has furthered his education by including functional medicine and the use of cold laser therapy, which when coordinated together, work to reduce soft tissue inflammation naturally. When he's not working, Dr. Barnes enjoys spending time with his wife, Jennifer, son, Eben, and their dog, Skye. They enjoy hiking, biking, organic gardening, and exploring the mountains of Western NC where they live.
Jennifer's primary philosophy is the concept of preventative maintenance rather than just crisis care. She believes that two of our most valuable assets are our health and our peace of mind. Each of us has an individual responsibility to do everything possible to protect our health and keep our stress levels low. In doing so, we can prevent and remedy most disease and sickness before it begins or escalates to a crisis state.
